هدف البحث إلى الكشف عن أثر تقويم مقرر العلوم للصف التاسع بمدارس التعليم العام من وجهة نظر المعلمين وتقويم أداء معلمي العلوم بمدارس التعليم العام، ومعرفة تقديرات معلمي العلوم لكتاب العلوم للصف التاسع بالمرحلة المتوسطة بدولة الكويت في المجالات الستة للبحث، وكذلك قياس مدى تأثير متغيرات (جنس المعلم، المؤهل العلمي، الخبرة التدريسية) في إحداث فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α = 0.05) في مستوى تقديرات معلمي العلوم لكتاب العلوم للصف التاسع بالمرحلة المتوسطة بدولة الكويت. استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتمثلت أدوات البحث في استبانة تقويم مقرر العلوم للصف التاسع للمرحلة المتوسطة، وتم تطبيق الاستبانة على عينة الدراسة والبالغ عددهم (40) معلما ومعلمة ممن يدرسون مقرر العلوم للصف التاسع بالمرحلة المتوسطة، وتم إجراء المعالجات الإحصائية المناسبة. تم الوصول إلى نتائج عدة، أهمها: أن كتاب العلوم للصف التاسع بالمرحلة المتوسطة في الكويت ملائم للاستخدام حيث أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن الدرجة الكلية لتقويم المعلمين لكتاب العلوم للصف التاسع بالمرحلة المتوسطة في الكويت كانت مرتفعة حيث بلغ المتوسط الحسابي (4.07) والنسبة المئوية بلغت (0.81)، وحاز كتاب العلوم للصف التاسع بالمرحلة المتوسطة في الكويت على تقدير المعلمين بغض النظر عن المتغيرات التي تناولتها الدراسة، حيث أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق مهمة بين تقديرات المعلمين والمعلمات في تقويم كتاب العلوم تعزى للخبرة أو المؤهل العلمي أو جنس المعلم، ومراعاة البيئة المحلية وإمكانات المدارس المختلقة عند تصميم مناهج العلوم. وفي ضوء ذلك، قدمت التوصيات والمقترحات المناسبة. The aim of the research is to reveal the impact of evaluating the science course for the ninth grade in general education schools from the point of view of teachers and evaluating the performance of science teachers in public education schools, and knowing the science teachers’ estimates of the science book for the ninth grade in the intermediate stage in the State of Kuwait in the six areas of research, as well as measuring the impact of the variables (Teacher’s gender, academic qualification, teaching experience) in creating statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) in the science teachers’ estimations of the science book for the ninth grade in the intermediate stage in the State of Kuwait. A questionnaire to evaluate the science course for the ninth grade for the intermediate stage. The questionnaire was applied to the study sample, which numbered (40) male and female teachers who are studying the science course for the ninth grade at the intermediate stage, and the appropriate statistical treatments were carried out. Several results were reached, the most important of which is that the science book for the ninth grade in the intermediate stage in Kuwait is suitable for use. The results of the study showed that the total score for teachers’ evaluation of the science book for the ninth grade in the intermediate stage in Kuwait was high, where the arithmetic mean was (4.07) and the percentage amounted to (0.81). The science book for the ninth grade in the intermediate stage in Kuwait was appreciated by teachers, regardless of the variables involved in the study, as the results showed that there were no significant differences between the teachers’ and female teachers’ estimates in evaluating the science book due to experience, academic qualification, or gender of the teacher, and taking into account the local environment and the capabilities of different schools. When designing science curricula, appropriate recommendations and suggestions are presented in light of this. (Published abstract)
