تحاول الدراسة الكشف عن حقيقة ما إذا استطاعت تكنولوجيا التعليم تحقيق استمرارية العملية التعليمية في ظل جائحة كورونا. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة، جرى تطبيق المنهج النوعي التحليلي، الذي اعتمد جمع المعلومات المتعلقة بالموضوع من الأدب السابق المنشور في المجلات العلمية في آخر ثلاث سنوات. وكشفت نتائج الدراسة أن تكنولوجيا التعليم استطاعت الحفاظ على استمرارية التعليم بشكل متفاوت ما بين دول العالم بسبب اختلاف جودة البنية التحتية التقنية فيما بينها. كما أن حقيقة عدم وجود خبرات سابقة كافية لدى المدرسين والطلبة في التعامل مع أدوات تكنولوجيا التعليم حد من فاعليتها في العملية التعليمية. بالإضافة إلى أن تكنولوجيا التعليم أثبتت محدوديتها في المواد العملية كالتخصصات الطبية والفنية. وأوصت الباحثة بعقد دورات تدريبية للكوادر التعليمية والطلبة تؤهلهم للتعامل مع التعلم الإلكتروني، وضرورة دمج التعلم الإلكتروني مع التعلم الوجاهي مستقبلا من الصفوف الأولى ليتم تفعيله كعامل معزز للعملية التعليمية. كما أوصت الباحثة بالأخذ بعين الاعتبار الطلبة ذوي الحاجات الخاصة أثناء تصميم التعلم الإلكتروني. بالإضافة إلى ضرورة إنشاء شراكات محلية وإقليمية ودولية مع القطاع العام والخاص لدعم الدول الفقيرة والمتأخرة في مجال تكنولوجيا التعليم. COVID-19 pandemic left over than 1.6 billion learners around the world out of their educational institutions. Governments responded quickly to ensure education continuity during the closure employing instructional technology. So, this study investigates the ability of educational technology to sustain the educational process during COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve the study goal, the analytical qualitative approach was conducted through collecting data related to this subject from previous literature published in scientific journals in the last three years. The results of the study revealed that educational technology was proportionally able to maintain the education between countries of the world due to the different quality of the technical infrastructure among them. Also, the fact that the teachers and students do not have enough previous experience in dealing with educational technology tools limits their effectiveness in the educational process. In addition, educational technology has proven its limitations in practical subjects such as medical and technical specialties. The researcher recommended attending training courses for faculty members and students may help them to deal with e-learning, and the necessity of integrating e-learning with face learning in the future from the primary school levels to be activated as a reinforcing factor for the educational process. The researcher also recommended taking into consideration the students with special needs when designing e-learning. In addition to the necessity of establishing local, regional, and international partnerships with the public and private sectors to support poor and developing countries in the field of educational technology.
