هدف البحث الحالي إلى الكشف عن القدرة التنبؤية للمرونة النفسية ومستوى الطموح بالمثابرة الأكاديمية، والعلاقة بينهم لدى طالبات المرحلة الثانوية. وأيضا الكشف عن الفروق في (المرونة النفسية، الطموح، المثابرة الأكاديمية) التي تعزى إلى متغير (التخصص، الصف الدراسي) لدى طالبات المرحلة الثانوية، وبلغت العينة المستخدمة (150) طالبة من طالبات الصف الأول والثالث الثانوي بإحدى مدارس محافظة الخرج بالمملكة العربية السعودية، وتم أعدت الباحثة مقياس المثابرة الأكاديمية، ومقياس المرونة النفسية، ومقياس مستوى الطموح، وتوصلت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة دالة إحصائيا بين المرونة النفسية والمثابرة الأكاديمية، ووجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة دالة إحصائيا بين مستوى الطموح والمثابرة الأكاديمية، كما كشفت النتائج أن المرونة النفسية تصلح كمنبأ للمثابرة الأكاديمية بينما لا يمكن التنبؤ بالمثابرة الأكاديمية من خلال مستوى الطموح،وأظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في المرونة النفسية ومستوى الطموح لدى طالبات المرحلة الثانوية تعزى لمتغيري (التخصص، الصف الدراسي)، بينما وجدت فروق دالة إحصائيا في المثابرة الأكاديمية لدى طالبات المرحلة الثانوية تعزى لمتغيري (التخصص، الصف الدراسي). The present study aimed to explore the predictive ability of psychological resilience and level of aspiration for academic persistence and the relationship between them among high school students. It also aimed to the disclosure of differences in (psychological resilience, level of aspiration, academic persistence), which were attributed to the variable (specialization, grade level) among secondary school students. The study sample consisted of (150) students from first and third secondary grades in one of Al-Kharj governorate schools - Saudi Arabia. Scales of academic persistence, psychological resilience, and level of aspiration were prepared by the researches as tools of the present study. Results of the study showed a significant positive correlation between psychological resilience and academic persistence, and a statistically significant correlative relationship between academic aspiration and persistence. The results also revealed that psychological resilience is a predictor of academic persistence, while academic persistence cannot be predicted through the level of aspiration. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the psychological resilience and level of aspiration among secondary school students attributed to the variables (specialization, grade level). However, statistically differences were found in academic persistence among high school students in relation to the variables (specialization, grade level). (Published abstract)
