يسعى البحث إلى التحقيق من الهدفين الآتيين، التعرف على مستوى الإساءة اللفظية التي يتعرض لها الأطفال من قبل الوالدين في مدينة ذمار، والتعرف على طبيعة الفروق في مستوى الإساءة اللفظية التي يتعرض لها الأطفال من قبل الوالدين في مدينة ذمار طبقا لمتغير جنس الطفل (ذكر - أنثى). تكونت العينة من (400) طفلا وطفلة بواقع (200) طفلا مقابل (200) طفلة، تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية من أربع مدارس أساسية من مدينة ذمار. واستخدم الباحث مقياس الوالدين للطفل من مرحلة التعليم الابتدائي من إعداد الباحثة نجوى نادر (1998) في جامعة دمشق، واتضح أن الأطفال في مدينة ذمار يتعرضون للإساءة اللفظية من قبل الوالدين، وأن مستوى الإساءة اللفظية من قبل الأب أكبر من مستوى الإساءة اللفظية من قبل الأم. كما اتضح وجود فروق إحصائية ذات دلالة معنوية في مستوى الإساءة اللفظية بين الأطفال الذكور والإناث ولصالح الذكور، وهذا يعني أن (الذكور) في مدينة ذمار يتعرضون للإساءة اللفظية من قبل الوالدين بمستوى أكبر مما تتعرض له (الإناث). The research seeks to investigate the following two objectives: to identify the level of verbal abuse that children are exposed to by parents in Dhamar city, and to identify the nature of the differences in the level of verbal abuse that children are exposed to by parents in Dhamar city according to the variable of the child's gender (male - feminine). The sample consisted of (400) male and female children (200) males versus (200) females, who were selected randomly from four basic schools in Dhamar city. The researcher has used the parental measure of the child from the primary education stage, prepared by the researcher Najwa Nader (1998) at the University of Damascus. It has been shown that children in the Dhamar city are subjected to verbal abuse by their parents and that the level of verbal abuse by the father is greater than the level of verbal abuse by the mother.
