هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن العلاقة بين المعتقدات المعرفية والدافعية المعرفية لدى طلبة المرحلة الثانوية، وإمكانية التنبؤ بالدافعية المعرفية لدى طلبة المرحلة الثانوية من خلال معتقداتهم المعرفية، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (200) طالب وطالبة من طلبة المرحلة الثانوية بمحافظة بورسعيد، وتراوحت أعمارهم بين (15-16) عام بمتوسط (15.825)، وانحراف معياري (0.380) وتم اختيارهم عشوائيًا من طلبة الصف الأول الثانوي، واتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي. وتمثلت أدوات الدراسة في مقياسي (المعتقدات المعرفية - الدافعية المعرفية) وهما من إعداد الباحثة، وباستخدام حزمة البرامج الإحصائية SPSS(V22) لتحليل بيانات الدراسة الحالية ومعالجتها، والتحقق من صدق الفروض وفي ضوء الأساليب الإحصائية (معامل ارتباط بيرسون للتحقق من الفرض الأول، معامل الانحدار المتعدد للتحقق من الفرض الثاني). قد أسفرت نتائج الدارسة عن وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة طردية دالة إحصائيًا بين المعتقدات المعرفية والدافعية المعرفية لدى طلبة المرحلة الثانوية عند مستوى دلالة (0.01)، كما يمكن التنبؤ بالدافعية المعرفية لدى الطلبة من خلال معتقداتهم المعرفية. The study aimed at revealing the relationship between epistemological beliefs and cognitive motivation of secondary stage students, and the possibility of predicting cognitive motivation of secondary stage students through their epistemological beliefs., The study sample consisted of (200) male and female secondary school students in Port Said Governorate, and their ages ranged from (15-16) years old, with an average of (15.825), and a standard deviation (0.380), were chosen randomly from the students of the first secondary grade, and the study followed the descriptive correlational approach. The study tools consisted of two scales (epistemological beliefs - cognitive motivation), which were prepared by the researcher and using the SPSS (V22) statistical programs for analyzing and processing the data of the current study and verifying the validity of the hypotheses. In the light of the statistical methods (Pearson correlation coefficient for verifying the first hypothesis, multiple regression coefficient for verifying the second hypothesis). The results of the study showed that there is a statistically significant direct positive correlation between epistemological beliefs and cognitive motivation of secondary stage students at the level of significance (0.01). The cognitive motivation of students can also be predicted through their epistemological beliefs. (Published abstract)
