Obesity is a global phenomenon as it attracts the attention of many researchers in many fields, especially healthcare professionals, owing to its relationship with a variety of medical and physical problems. Whereas the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is ranked the fifteenth country in the world in terms of obesity, and the percentage of general obesity in the Kingdom is about 33.7% in 2016 (Al-Qarni, 2016) and could reach 42% in the horizon by 2030 (Bouraoui & Alnahdi, 2019). Scientific evidence indicates the importance of physical activity for both organic and psychological health. The risk of physical inactivity on human health and on his physical functions has negative effects on the overall society. As a result, obesity increased cholesterol in the blood or arterial hypertension. This research aims to highlight the role played by the various levels of physical activity (LPA) practiced by Saudi students especially those of University of Jeddah, whether inside the university through sporting activities, or outside in free time for different purpose. We use Logistic model to determine the determinant of obesity in the Saudi context. Findings seem to be important to decision-makers in the healthcare sector in order to prepare facing the growing numbers of medical problems related to obesity. (Published abstract)
