تعد البحوث التربوية حجر الأساس لتطوير كل من الممارسات التربوية والمجتمع الذي تطبق فيه هذه الممارسات، حيث يسهم البحث في التطوير وحل الإشكالات التي تطرأ على الميدان التربوي من منطلق علمي يسهم في التقليل من العشوائية والتخبط. والمتتبع لمشهد البحث العربي التربوي يلحظ سيطرة واضحة للمنهج الكمي، وتباطؤا وتأخرا وتهيبا من تطبيق البحث النوعي، ولذلك سعت الدراسة للكشف عن كيفية تطور الهوية البحثية المنهجية للباحث، واستكشاف وجهات نظر الباحثين حول المنهج النوعي، وتقديم مقترحات لتطويره. وقد اعتمد هذا البحث المنهج النوعي، أسلوب دراسة الحالة، وجمعت البيانات عبر مقابلات شبه مهيكلة تمت مع كل من أعضاء هيئة التدريس وطلاب الدراسات العليا المهتمين بتعليم الحاسب، وبلغ عددهم ثلاثة عشر مشاركا. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أنه يوجد نمو في الاتجاه والممارسة نحو المنهجية النوعية، مما يبشر بزيادة هذه الممارسة. ووضحت الدراسة المراحل والتحديات التي يمر بها الباحث، والتي تسهم بشكل مباشر في تشكل هويته البحثية، وتؤثر في إختياره للمنهجية البحثية. كما كشفت الدراسة عن وجهة نظر الباحثين في دور المنهج النوعي في إثراء البحوث ومعالجة الإشكالات التي تواجه الأبحاث في مجال تعليم الحاسب. وخلصت الدراسة لمجموعة من المقترحات التي يمكن أن تسهم في تذليل التحديات وتشجع الباحثين على تبني البحث النوعي. It is noticeable that in Arab educational research, the quantitative approach is dominant, while the application of qualitative research is still less than expected. Therefore, the study sought to reveal the reality of applying qualitative research in the field of computer education by tracking the development of the researcher's identity and exploring researchers' views of qualitative research and the challenges they face. This research adopted the qualitative approach -the case study- and the data were collected through semi-structured interviews conducted with thirteen participants of faculty members and graduate students interested in computer education. The results reveal a growth in the trend and practice towards the qualitative methodology, which is expected to increase. The study clarified the stages and conflicts that the researcher goes through, which directly contribute to forming their research identity and affect their choice of research methodology. The study also revealed the researchers’ point of view on the role of the qualitative approach in enriching research and addressing the problems facing research in the field of computer education. The study concluded with proposals that can contribute to overcoming these challenges and encourage researchers to adopt qualitative research. (Published abstract)
