هدفت الدراسة إلى تقدير الحاجة إلى ممارسة القيادة التوزيعية في الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية من وجهة نظر القيادات التربوية فيها. تم استخدام المنهج المسحي الوصفي، وتطوير استبانة مكونة من (61) فقرة، موزعة على أربعة مجالات، وتم التأكد من صدقها وثباتها، ثم تطبيقها على عينة الدراسة البالغ عددها (1122) من القيادات التربوية. أظهرت النتائج أن درجة حاجة الجامعات الأردنية الرسمية لممارسة القيادة التوزيعية جاءت متوسطة، إذ جاء بالمرتبة الأولى المجال الثالث "المسؤولية المشتركة"، ثم المجال الثاني "الثقافة التنظيمية"، تلاه المجال الرابع "الممارسات القيادية"، ثم المجال الأول "‎الرؤية والرسالة والأهداف‎"، كما بينت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند (‏α=0.05) في استجابات عينة الدراسة لمجالات درجة ‏الحاجة ‏‏‏تعزى لمتغير الجنس، وعدم وجود فروق ‏‏‏تعزى ‏لمتغير الوظيفة عدا مجال الرؤية والرسالة ‏والأهداف، إذ كانت الفروق لصالح العميد ونائب العميد مقارنة برئيس القسم، بالإضافة إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية ‏‏‏تعزى ‏ لمتغير الرتبة الأكاديمية عدا مجال الممارسة القيادية، إذ كانت الفروق لصالح الأستاذ مقارنة بالأستاذ المساعد والأستاذ المشارك. توصي الدراسة بتوفير المتطلبات الأساسية لممارسة القيادة التوزيعية في الجامعات الأردنية الحكومية، وعقد دورات تدريبية وورشات عمل للقادة الجامعيين؛ لتعريفهم بمبادئ القيادة التوزيعية، وآليات تطبيقها في المجال التربوي. The study aimed to assess the need to practice distributed leadership in Jordanian public universities from the point of view of its educational leaders. The descriptive survey method was used. A questionnaire was developed, composed of (61) items distributed over four dimensions (vision, mission and goals, organizational culture, shared responsibility, leadership practices). The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were verified, and was applied to a study sample composed of (1122) educational leaders. The results showed that the need’s degree of Jordanian public universities to practice the distributed leadership was medium. The "shared responsibility" dimension came in the first place, then the "organizational culture" dimension, the "leadership practices" dimension, and last the "vision, mission and goals" dimension. The results also showed that there were no statistical significant differences at (α = 0.05) in the responses due to gender, nor to the job variable, except for the dimension of “vision mission and goals”. In addition, there were no significant differences attributable to the academic rank variable, except for the dimension of “leadership practice”. The study recommends providing the basic requirements for practicing the distributed leadership in Jordanian public universities, and conducting training courses for university leaders; to introduce them to the principles of distributed leadership, and the mechanisms of applying them in the educational field.
