هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن درجة توافر تصنيفات ما وراء الخطاب، وأنواعها، ومستوى تتابعها في كتب اللغة العربية للمرحلة الأساسية. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة جرى تطوير قائمة تصنيفات ما وراء الخطاب وأنواعها، وتم التحقق من صدقها وثباتها. وقد استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي لتحليل كتب اللغة العربية للمرحلة الأساسية، وقد اعتمدت الجملة وحدة لتحليل محتوى الكتب عينة الدراسة. وقد كشفت الدراسة عن مجموعة من النتائج، أهمها: اقتراح قائمة بتصنيفات ما وراء الخطاب وأنواعها، هي: ما وراء الخطاب الإخباري، وتضمن تسعة أنواع، وما وراء الخطاب الاتجاهي، وتضمن ستة أنواع، وما وراء الخطاب الاتصالي. وأظهرت النتائج أيضا أن كتب اللغة العربية عينة الدراسة للصفوف (الرابع، والخامس، والسادس) الأساسية تضمنت (3457) تكرارا لتصنيفات ما وراء الخطاب، تفاوتت في مجموع تكراراتها، حيث جاء كتاب اللغة العربية للصف السادس الأساسي بأعلى التكرارات (1313) تكرارا، ثم كتاب اللغة العربية للصف الخامس الأساسي (1277) تكرارا، وقد جاء كتاب الصف الرابع الأساسي بأدنى التكرارات (867) تكرارا. وجرى الكشف عن تفاوت نسبة تضمين تصنيفات ما وراء الخطاب وأنواعها، حيث جاءت بعض الأنواع متضمنة بدرجة منخفضة أو لم تُضمن أساسا، وقد أظهرت نتائجها أن مستوى تتابع واستمرارية تصنيفات ما وراء الخطاب وأنواعها في كتب اللغة العربية للمرحلة الأساسية كان منخفضا. وفي ضوء نتائجها، قدم الباحثان مجموعة من التوصيات. The study aimed to investigate the classifications of meta discourse and its types in the Arabic language books in the primary stage. It also aimed to uncover the level of its sequence in the Arabic language books. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared the analysis tool and the validity of the tool, and its stability were extracted. The study also adopted the sentence as a unit to analyze the books used as a sample. A set of results were discovered, the most important of which is the development of a list of classifications of the meta discourse which includes (15) different types of classifications of the meta-discourse. The first classification is the informational meta discourse and IT included nine types. The second classification is the attitudinal meta discourse which included six types. The third type is the communicative meta discourse. Results also showed that Arabic language books for the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades included (3457) incidents of the classifications of the meta discourse which varied in their frequency. The study also discovered that the results of classifications of the meta discourse and their types varied. Some of those classifications were either low included or not included. Results also showed that there is no consequence nor continuity in the results of the classifications of meta discourse in the Arabic language books of the primary stage. On the basis of these findings, the study concludes with a set of recommendations. (Published abstract)
