The study aimed to identify the visual thinking skills included in the social studies textbooks for the sixth grade in Jordan. An analysis card that includes a list of visual thinking skills proposed to be included in the sixth-grade social studies textbooks in Jordan. The card was subject to the criteria and conditions for preparing evaluation tools, and the most prominent results were that the total iterations of visual thinking skills in the sixth grade social studies textbooks in Jordan amounted to (2006) iterations, of which (429) iterations were in the history book, with an estimated percentage of (0.22), and (1070) repetitions in the Geography book, with an estimated percentage of (53), and finally (507) repetitions in the National Education book, with a percentage of (25%). The visual form, the skill of linking relations in the visual form, the skill of perceiving and interpreting the ambiguity of the visual form, the skill of extracting meanings from the visual form), where the field of the ability to recognize the visual form ranked first with a number of repetitions of (653) iterations, and with a percentage estimated at about (0.33), while the skill of extracting meanings from the visual form came in the last order with a number of iterations equal to (245) iterations, and a percentage estimated at about (0.12).
