هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن واقع دور جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية في مواجهة الجرائم الإلكترونية في ضوء أهداف التربية الوقائية، ولتحقيق أهدافها استخدمت المنهج الوصفي المسحي، من خلال تطبيق استبانة على عينة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلبة، تم اختيارهم بطريقة عنقودية عشوائية بلغ قوامها (647) فردًا. حيث أوضحت نتائج الدراسة أن دور جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية في مواجهة الجرائم الإلكترونية جاء بدرجة متوسطة من وجهة نظر عينة الدراسة، كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة: وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات استجابات عينة الدراسة تعزى لمتغيرات الدراسة (نوع الكلية-الدرجة العلمية-سنوات الخبرة-المستوى الدراسي-درجة إجادة الإنترنت). وخلصت الدراسة إلى عدة توصيات. The study aimed at revealing the role of the Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in the face of cybercrime in light of the objectives of preventive education. In order to achieve its objectives, the descriptive method was used by applying a questionnaire to a sample 647 of faculty members and students. The results of the study showed that the role of the Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in the face of cybercrime came in a medium degree from the point of view of the sample of the study. The results of the study also showed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean responses of the study sample, Years of (Experience - Academic Level - Internet Proficiency Degree).
