This study aimed to achieve the effectiveness of a child-centered play counseling program on improving self-concept in chronically ill children. The experimental approach was used. The study sample consisted of (20) children infected with chronic diseases of the auditors Clinic Hospital Al-Bashir's government and distributed them randomly divided equally into two groups: the experimental group, and control group. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the self-concept scale was developed by the researcher and was confirmed the indicators of honesty and stability of the scale, as well as a program was prepared to instruct the collective playing around the child, consisting of (14) counseling sessions, and the program was applied to the experimental group while the control group. The results showed significant differences at (α≤1.15) in the overall degree of self-perception between the experimental and telemetry control groups, indicating that the performance of the experimental group on telemetry has improved significantly thanks to training in the program, and the results also showed no significant differences at (α≤1.15) in the level of self-perception in chronically ill children in Jordan.
