The impact of visits by the education quality and accountability unit on improving the level of readiness and readiness of schools, and the extent to which education directorates and schools respond to them [Article]
The study aimed to measure the impact of the visits carried out by the unit of education quality and accountability in improving the level of school readiness, and the response of the directorates and schools to these visits, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the school readiness model was used to receive the academic year 2020-2021, where the indications of the validity and stability of the model were checked. The study sample consisted of (322) schools, affiliated to (32) education directories, where each school was visited twice, with a time difference of approximately two weeks between the two visits, and the study found statistically significant differences at a significant level (α≤0005) between the mean of the scores of the (pre and post) visits to the education quality and accountability unit in improving the level of school readiness in the total score and sub-domains, which indicates the impact of the visits carried out by the education quality and accountability unit in improving the level of school readiness, and the response education directorates, principals and school principals for these visits, and it was found that the response of principals and principals to improving the level of readiness of schools based on the unit visits, and the existence of differences in the impact of the visits of the education quality and accountability unit in improving the level of readiness of schools (and the response of the directorates and schools) according to the nature of the building, and in favor of the schools owned by the Ministry of Education, and the results did not show any differences between primary and secondary schools, meaning that primary and secondary schools responded at the same level in the degree of improvement, readiness. School principals in the southern region to improve the level of school readiness based on the unit's visits are better than in the central and northern regions, and positive responses have also been found by the ministry of education and education directorates in providing schools with a shortage of teachers and administrators.
