هدف البحث إلى تعرف مدى تناول مقررات السنة التحضيرية في بعض كليات جامعة المجمعة لمهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين ولتحقيق ذلك تم إعداد قائمة بمهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين الواجب توافرها في تلك المقررات تضمنت عشر مهارات هي: الابتكار، التفكير الناقد وحل المشكلات، الاتصال، التعاونية، الثقافة المعلوماتية، الثقافة الإعلامية، الثقافة التكنولوجية، التكيف والمبادرة، الانتاجية والمساءلة، القيادة والمسؤولية، وتم تحليل محتوى تسع مقررات للسنة التحضيرية هي الفيزياء الطبية، الكيمياء، اللغة الإنجليزية، مهارات الحاسب، الرياضيات1، 2، الهندسة، بيولوجيا الإنسان، مهارات الاتصال, وذلك من خلال عناصر المقرر بما تتضمنه من أهداف وموضوعات علمية، أنشطة تعليمية، طرق تقييم، وقد أشارت النتائج إلى ضعف مستوى تناول عناصر المقرر لمهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين وفي ضوء ذلك يقترح الباحث مجموعة من التوصيات الخاصة بكيفية تضمين مقررات السنة التحضيرية لمهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين لما لها من أهمية لنجاح الطالب بعد المرحلة الجامعية في العمل والحياة.
