The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a training program based on imaginative play in developing social interaction skills for children with autism spectrum disorder in the capital, Amman. The effectiveness of the training program was measured by the extent of social interaction skills development through the two scales of visual communication and imitation prepared by the researcher, and it was verified of the psychometric properties of the two scales by presenting it to 10 arbitrators with expertise and competence, and the number of the study sample was 8 children with autism spectrum disorder, aged from 6 years, who were chosen intentionally, and to answer the study questions, the Wilcoxon test was used. For the interconnected samples, and extract the value (z), where the results showed that the average ranks of the post-test for the domain of imitation is higher than the average ranks of the pre-test for the domain of imitation, which reached 4.5, and the total ranks of 36 and the value of Z) amounted to - 2.535, which indicates that there are significant differences Statistics at the level (a = 0.05) between the pre and post application. The results also showed that the average ranks of the post test for the field of visual communication is higher than the average ranks of the tribal test for the field of imitation, which reached 4.5, and the total ranks of 36 and the value of Z) amounted to -2.536, which indicates that there are statistically significant differences at the level (a = 0.05). between the pre and post application.
