هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى استكشاف حالات الهوية لدى طلبة البكالوريوس في الجامعة الأردنية في العام الدراسي 2018-2019 في ضوء متغيري الجنس والكلية. تم تطبيق مقياس أدمز وبينيون The Extended Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status على عينة عشوائية طبقية مكونة من (838) طالباً تضم (271) من الذكور و(625) من الإناث. أظهرت النتائج أن أغلب حالات الهوية لدى الطلبة كانت حالة الهوية الانتقالية أو المعلقة الدنيا. وأما حالات الهوية النقية فقد كانت نسبة الهوية المغلقة هي الأعلى، ثم جاءت بعدها المحققة ثم المؤجلة النقية، فيما كانت أدنى نسبة للمشتة. كما لم تظهر فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير الجنس، باستثناء الحالة الانتقالية، إذ كانت لصالح الإناث، ولم تظهر فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين حالات الهوية النفسية لدى أفراد عينة الدراسة تُعزى لمتغير الكلية، باستثناء المحققة، وذلك لصالح الكليات الإنسانية والعلمية، ولدى المشتة لصالح الكليات الطبية. وقد أوصت الدراسة بإتاحة الفرصة للطلبة في الجامعات لممارسة الأنشطة التي تسهم في تشكيل هوياتهم. This study aimed to explore ego-identity statuses at Jordan University students in scholastic year 2018-2019, in light of gender and college variables. To achieve that, the Extended Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status Scale (EOM-EISS) was applied on a stratified random sample of (896) students which consisted of (271) male and (625) female. The results revealed that most of the students were classified in low profile moratorium status. Regarding the four pure statuses; foreclosure status was the highest then achieved status followed by the moratorium, and the least was diffusion status. The results also revealed no statistically significant differences between ego-identity statuses due to gender except in low profile moratorium status in favor of females. No statistically significant differences between ego-identity statuses due to college except in achieved status in favor of humanities and scientific colleges and in diffusion status in favor of the health college. The study recommended giving the students opportunities that facilitate identity formation. (Published abstract)
