حاولت الدراسة تقييم معدلات التخرج لطلبة أحد الأقسام العلمية في إحدى الجامعات العراقية باعتبارها نموذج يمكن أن يستنبط منه بعض المؤشرات عن العوامل المؤثرة على معدلات التخرج التي يحققها الطلبة في الجامعات العراقية. شملت الدراسة مقارنة لمعدلات التخرج النهائية للطلبة الثلاثة الأوائل وللفترة الزمنية الممتدة 1990-2018. من خلال المرتسمات التي تضمنتها الدراسة ومحاولة استنباط طبيعة تغير معدلات الطلبة سنويا ولفترة الدراسة، أمكن الوصول إلى بعض النتائج منها أن معدل الطالب الأول والثاني والثالث كانت 77.15 و74.51 و72.88 على التوالي ولفترة الدراسة من 1990-2018. أما المعدل السنوي لخريجي القسم فكانت حوالي 52 طالب وطالبة. أظهرت النتائج أن المعدل العام للفروقات بين الطالب الأول والثاني والأول والثالث شهدت زيادة تدريجية بينما كانت الفروقات بين الطالب الثاني والثالث شهدت تراجعا في الفروقات مما يعكس تواجد طالب متميز واحد أو اثنين عن باقي الطلبة في كل عام دراسي. أن قيم معدلات الطلبة وتغيرها السنوي أوضحت شيئا من التذبذب في المعدلات والذي توافق مع التغيرات في إدارة القسم فضلا عن التقلبات في الأوضاع السياسية والاقتصادية والأمنية على مستوى البلاد، وهذا يعني أن معدلات تخرج الطلبة قد لا تعكس حقيقة التميز الذهني أو الفكري أو العلمي للطلبة إلا بقدر محدود. The study attempted to evaluate the graduation rates of students of certain scientific departments in an Iraqi university as a model from which some indicators can be derived from the factors affecting the graduation rates of students in Iraqi universities. The study included a comparison of the final graduation rates of the top three students for the period 1990-2018. The study attempts to investigate the nature of the change in student rates annually for the period considered. It is concluded that the first, second and third student averages were 77.15, 74.51 and 72.88 respectively, for the period from 1990-2018. The annual rate of graduates of the department was found to be 52 students/ year. The results show that the overall rate of differences between the first and second, and the first third students gradually increase. While the differences between the second and third students decreased, which may indicate that one or two students were outstanding among the students in each academic year. The values of annual rates have shown some fluctuation in rates, which is consistent with changes in the administration of the department as well as fluctuations in the political, economic and security situations in the country. The authors believe that the graduation rates of students maybe not reflect the reality of mental, intellectual or scientific excellence of the students. (Published abstract)
