The study aimed to identify the level of social responsibility, positive thinking, orientation towards the future among a sample of high school students in the city of Jeddah, and to reveal the nature of the correlation between social responsibility and orientation towards the future, and the nature of the correlation between positive thinking and orientation towards the future. It also sought to reveal the differences between male and female students in terms of social responsibility, positive thinking, and orientation towards the future. The sample size was (262) of whom (103) were male students, and (159) were female students, with an average age of 17:34. The researcher used three scales: the social responsibility scale prepared by Ahmed Abdel Majid Smadi, and Salah Muhammad Athamneh in (2009), the positive thinking scale prepared by Bushra Al-Zahrani, Rabih Saeed Taha in (2015), and the future orientation scale prepared by Mukhtar Ahmad AlKayyal and Farah Abdul-Wahhab Abu Al-Saud, year (2020); The study reached the following findings: a high level of social responsibility, a high level of positive thinking, a medium level of future orientation among a sample of high school students in Jeddah, a positive correlation between social responsibility and orientation towards the future, and the existence of a relationship. A positive statistically significant correlation between positive thinking and future orientation, the absence of statistically significant differences between male and female students in the average degrees of social responsibility and positive thinking, and the presence of statistically significant differences between male and female students in the average degrees of orientation for the future as a whole in favor of males. The researcher reached a number of recommendations, including: employing methods and means that help raise the orientation towards the future of students in curricula, extracurriculara ctivities, workshops and seminars.
