The study aimed to identify Arab research trends in the field of cognitive load during two decades, specifically during the period (1999-2020 AD), using the dimensional analysis method. In this study, a tool was used that is a content analysis card (form), and reviewed (89) published Arabic papers available in specialized Arabic databases that dealt with the cognitive load. By using the frequencies and percentages for each axis of the study tool, the results indicated that the research published in the field of educational psychology is the most in the amount of scientific production from Arab research in the field of cognitive load, and the time period from 2016 to 2020 witnessed the most in quantity. Scientific production of research in the field of knowledge burden. And that the largest number of studies and research in which the ex cognitive load perimental method was used, and the most used research designs in those studies and researches was the design of the experimental group and the control group, and that the largest number of studies and researches were done on samples of medium size. Finally, the effect of the intervention programs and the teaching strategies to reduce the cognitive load in Arab psychological and educational research varies according to the educational stage, study samples, and sample size, while the size of the effect does not differ according to the gender of the subject.
