The aim of this study is to explore the University female students' perceptions, who specialize in Arabic language and literature (in Saudi Arabia) on Arabic grammar teaching, during the outbreak of Covid-19 coronavirus. The impact of the pandemic has imposed the application of a new system in education. This was called the distance teaching-learning system. A sample of 250 Saudi female students from the University of King Abdul-Aziz, and the University of Jeddah, were asked to respond to a questionnaire including close-ended and open-ended questions. The questionnaire is divided into three sections: the performance of the students themselves in Arabic grammar, in the context of distance education / the performance of the Arabic grammar teacher in the context of distance education / the nature of Arabic grammar provided through the distance education technology. From the results of the first section: it is very clear that the female students prefer the traditional method (face to face) in teaching grammar, and that they suffer from mental distraction, when listening to a grammar lecture, through distance education. In the second and third sections of the questionnaire, the weighted average came in a very weak category. These results all point to the collapse of teaching grammar, within the framework of distance education technology. The recommendations were incorporated at the end of this study. All are keen to teach Arabic grammar, under the traditional system. Perhaps we could say in the end: that the future holds great prospects for facilitating the teaching of Arabic grammar, through advanced technology, and using it alongside traditional education.
