تأتي أهمية الدراسة في الوقت الذي يتزايد فيه اهتمام القيادات السياسية والمسؤولين عن التعليم بعملية التطوير المستمرة له، وتحديثه، بوصفه الأداة الرئيسية للتطوير، وما تشهده الدول العربية من أحداث ومتغيرات سياسية واقتصادية واجتماعية، وأن هناك تطورات وتحديات عديدة عالمية ومحلية في السنوات الأخيرة لعبت دورا رياديا في السياسة التعليمية. هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على أوجه الشبه والاختلاف بين آليات صنع السياسة التعليمية في سلطنة عمان وماليزيا، وتحاول الدراسة الإجابة عن السؤال الرئيس الآتي: كيف يمكن تطوير آليات صنع السياسات التعليمية في سلطنة عمان في ضوء خبرة ماليزيا؟ اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج المقارن، الذي يقارن بين بلاد العالم المختلفة من أجل وصف وتحليل واقع وآليات صنع السياسات التعليمية، والكشف عن أوجه التشابه والاختلاف للاستفادة من تلك الآليات، حيث تم تحليل صنع السياسة التعليمية في ماليزيا في تطوير آليات صنع السياسة التعليمية في سلطنة عمان. خلصت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج والتي أشارت ضرورة الأخذ بالخبرات الخاصة بصنع السياسة التعليمية في ضوء خبرة ماليزيا لتطوير آليات صنع السياسة التعليمية في سلطنة عمان. The importance of this study comes at a time when the interest of political leaders and those responsible for education is increasing in the process of continuous development and modernization of education, as the main tool for development, and what the Arab countries are witnessing in terms of political, economic and social events and changes, and that there are many global and local developments and challenges in recent years that have played a role A pioneer in educational policy. The study aimed to identify the similarities and differences between the educational policy-making mechanisms in the Sultanate of Oman and Malaysia, and the study tries to answer the following main question: How can educational policy-making mechanisms be developed in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of Malaysia's experience? The study relied on the comparative approach, which compares the different countries of the world to describe and analyze the reality and mechanisms of educational policymaking, and to reveal similarities and differences to benefit from these mechanisms. Educational policymaking in Malaysia was analyzed in the development of educational policy-making mechanisms in the Sultanate of Oman. The study concluded with a set of results, which indicated the need to take into account the experiences of educational policymaking in the light of Malaysia's experience to develop educational policy-making mechanisms in the Sultanate of Oman.
