هدف البحث إلى التعرف على معوقات تفعيل دور المدرسة الابتدائية في إكساب طلابها مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين من وجهة نظر المعلمين واستخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. وقد تمثلت أداة الدراسة في استبانة من اعداد الباحثة، وتمثلت عينة الدراسة في (364) معلم ومعلمة من المدارس الابتدائية بمدينتي الدمام والخبر بالمملكة العربية السعودية، وقد أسفرت نتائج البحث: عن وجود بعض المعوقات التي تحول دون تفعيل دور المدرسة الابتدائية في إكساب طلابها مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين من وجهة نظر المعلمين، وهي: المعوقات المرتبطة بالأنشطة وانواعها ومن أهمها: عدم وجود أماكن مناسبة وآمنة لممارسة الأنشطة المدرسية، وما يتبعه من معوقات مرتبطة بالمعلم، وأهمها ضعف مستوى معرفة المعلمين باستخدام التقنيات التعليمية الحديثة، وأخيرا المعوقات المرتبطة بالمنهج وأهمها الحشو والتكرار المفرط داخل المناهج الدراسية، وفي ضوء نتائج البحث، تقدم الباحث بعدة توصيات ومقترحات تذليل العقبات التي تعترض تفعيل دور المرحلة الابتدائية في إكساب طلابها مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين، ومنها: حذف الحشو والتكرار المفرط ضمن المناهج الدراسية، وضرورة مطابقة المنهج مع مستوى الطلاب وقدراتهم، يجب أن يكون هناك توازن بين موضوعات المناهج الدراسية، وأهداف المنهج المدرسي، وضرورة تدريب المعلمين وتعريفهم بكيفية استخدام التقنيات التعليمية الحديثة، وضرورة توجيه اهتمام الإدارة المدرسية لتقديم حوافز مادية للمعلمين المتميزين في تفعيل العملية التعليمية. The research aimed to identify the obstacles to activating the role of the primary school in providing its students with the skills of the twenty-first century from the point of view of teachers and the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach. The study tool was a questionnaire prepared by the researcher, and the study sample was represented in (364) teachers from primary schools in the cities of Dammam and Khobar in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the results of the research resulted: there are some obstacles that prevent activating the role of the primary school in providing its students with the skills of the twenty-first century from the point of view of teachers, namely: obstacles associated with the curriculum, the most important of which are: the lack of suitable and safe places to practice school activities, and the obstacles associated with the teacher, the most important of which is the weak level of teachers' knowledge of the use of modern educational technologies, and finally the obstacles associated with the curriculum, the most important of which is filler and excessive repetition within the curriculum. In light of the results of the research, the researcher made several recommendations and proposals to overcome the obstacles that hinder the activation of the role of the primary stage in providing its students with the skills of the twenty-first century, including: removing filler and excessive repetition within the curriculum, and the need to match the curriculum with the level and abilities of students, there must be a balance between curriculum topics, the objectives of the school curriculum, the need to train teachers and introduce them to how to use modern educational technologies, and the need to direct the attention of the school administration to provide material incentives for distinguished teachers in activating the educational process.
