استهدفت الدراسة تطوير نظم إعداد المعلم في السعودية ومصر وذلك عن طريق دراسة النظام المتبع لإعداد المعلمين في أمريكا والسعودية ومصر وعرض أوجه التشابه والاختلاف بين برامج إعداد المعلمين في أمريكا والسعودية ومصر، وتقديم توصيات ومقترحات لتطوير برامج إعداد المعلمين في السعودية. استخدمت الدراسة مدخل جورج بيريداى للدراسات المقارنة، وذلك للتوصل لأهم أوجه التشابه والاختلاف في النظم التعليمية موضع المقارنة، ومن خلال التحليل المقارن تم الخروج بمجموعة من الآليات والتوصيات المقترحة لتطوير نظم إعداد المعلم في السعودية ومصر منها: ضرورة عقد اختبارات ومقابلات شخصية وكشوف طبية للتأكد من اللياقة الصحية والنفسية لمعلم المستقبل قبل الالتحاق بالكلية، إنشاء أكاديمية للمعلم في السعودية تنفذ عمليات التدريب والترقية للمعلمين على مستوى المملكة على غرار الأكاديمية المهنية للمعلمين المصرية، إعداد معايير اعتماد خاصة بكليات التربية أسوة بمعايير مؤسسات إعداد المعلم في أمريكا، التحول في الاعتماد في مصر من مجرد اعتماد مؤسسى لكلية التربية إلى اعتماد برامجي لكل برنامج مقدم داخل الكلية. The study aimed to develop teacher preparation systems in Saudi Arabia and Egypt by studying the system used to prepare teachers in America, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, presenting the similarities and differences between teacher preparation programs in America, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and providing recommendations and proposals for developing teacher preparation programs in Saudi Arabia. The study used the George Periday approach to comparative studies, in order to reach the most important similarities and differences in the educational systems under comparison. Through the comparative analysis, a set of proposed mechanisms for developing teacher preparation systems in Saudi Arabia and Egypt was produced, including: The necessity of holding tests, personal interviews, and medical records to ensure the health and psychological fitness of the future teacher before joining the college , Establishing a teacher academy in Saudi Arabia that implements training and promotion processes for teachers across the Kingdom, similar to the Egyptian Professional Academy for Teachers, Preparing accreditation standards for colleges of education, similar to the standards of teacher preparation institutions in America, The shift in accreditation in Egypt from a mere institutional accreditation of the College of Education to a programmatic accreditation for each program offered within the college.
