هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة أثر استراتيجية التعلم بجانبي الدماغ في تدريس الرياضيات على تنمية مهارات التفكير فوق المعرفي لدى طالبات الصف الأول المتوسط بنجران. استخدام المنهج شبه التجريبي ذي التصميم التجريبي القائم على مجموعتين، تجريبية وضابطة، ذواتي القياس القبلي والبعدي. تكونت العينة من (37) طالبة من طالبات الصف الأول المتوسط بمدينة نجران، منهن (20) طالبة في المجموعة التجريبية، و(17) طالبة في المجموعة الضابطة. تمثلت الأدوات في مقياس تحديد السيطرة الدماغية، واختبار مهارات التفكير فوق المعرفي. أسفرت النتائج عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات طالبات المجموعة التجريبية ومتوسط درجات نظيراتهن في المجموعة الضابطة ككل وحسب نوع السيطرة الدماغية (أيمن - أيسر - متكاملة) في اختبار مهارات التفكير فوق المعرفي لصالح المجموعة التجريبية. The study aimed to know the impact of the strategy of learning on both sides of the brain in teaching mathematics on the development of meta- cognitive thinking skills among the first intermediate grade students in Najran, and the use of the semi-experimental approach with an experimental design based on two groups: experimental and control, with pre and post measurement, and the sample consisted of (37) female students from the first intermediate grade in the city of Najran, including (20) students in the experimental group, and (17) students in the control group. Statistically between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group and the average scores of their counterparts in the control group as a whole, according to the type of brain control (right- left integrated) in the test of metacognitive thinking skills in favor of the experimental group.
