هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على مشكلات التغذية وتناول الطعام لدى الأطفال من ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد في مدينة جدة، ومن ثم بناء تصور مقترح لتطوير قسم التغذية الخاص بالطلبة من ذوي اضطرابات طيف التوحد. تم تطبيق المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال تطبيق استبانة كأداة للدراسة على عينة من (70) طفل من التوحديين من المنتسبين لمراكز رعاية الأطفال التوحديين. خلصت الدراسة إلى أن مشكلات تناول الطعام لدى عينة من الأطفال المصابين باضطراب طيف التوحد، جاءت بدرجة متوسطة بمتوسط حسابي (1.59)، في حين جاء المحور الرابع (الانتقائية المفرطة) على أعلى درجة بمتوسط حسابي (1.71)، وفي المرتبة الثانية جاء المحور الأول (السلوكيات المعرقلة لتناول الطعام) بمتوسط حسابي (1.61)، وفي المرتبة الثالثة جاء المحور الثاني (رفض الطعام) بمتوسط حسابي (1.56)، بينما حصل المحور الثالث على أقل تقدير (المشكلات السلوكية المصاحبة لاضطراب طيف التوحد) بمتوسط حسابي بلغ (1.46). وفي ضوء النتائج خرجت الباحثة بتصور مقترح وجملة من التوصيات الهامة. The study aimed to identify the nutrition and eating problems of children with ASD in Jeddah city, and then build a proposed conception for the development of the nutrition department for students with ASD. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher applied the descriptive analytical method by applying a questionnaire as a study tool to a sample of (70) autistic children who belong to autistic child care centers. Where the study concluded that eating problems in a sample of children with ASD came with an arithmetic mean (1.59), while the fourth axis (excessive selectivity) came at the highest degree with an arithmetic mean (1.71), and in the second place came the first axis (Behaviors that obstruct eating) with a mean of (1.61), and in the third place came the second axis (refusal of food) with a mean of (1.56), while the third axis got the lowest score (behavioral problems associated with ASD) with a mean of (1.46). In light of that, the researcher came with a proposed conception and a set of important recommendations. (Published abstract)
