هدفت الدراسة توضيح الاتجاهات الحديثة المختلفة في تعريف مفهوم المسؤولية الاجتماعية والأخلاقية، وبيان طبيعة العلاقة بين المسؤولية الاجتماعية والأخلاقية لكليات التربية ودور هذه الكليات في المشاركة الفاعلة في تطوير التعليم العام في مصر، وتعرف أهم المتغيرات المحلية والعالمية الداعية لتطوير التعليم في مصر، وتحديد الاتجاهات الحديثة فيما يتعلق بتفعيل دور كليات التربية في تحقيق مسؤوليتها المجتمعية تجاه تطوير التعليم، وصولا إلى التصور المقترح وآليات تفعيله لقيام كليات التربية بدورها في تطوير التعليم في مصر انطلاقا من مسؤوليتها الاجتماعية. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، وتم الاعتماد على الاستبانة التي طبقت على عينة قوامها (300) من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بالجامعات المصرية. وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة بشقيها النظري والميداني، تم تقديم تصور مقترح مكون من مجموعة من المحاور منها فلسفته وأهدافه، وأهميته، ومنطلقاته، ومجالاته متضمنة مجموعة من الآليات، ثم متطلبات تنفيذه، وبعض المعوقات المتوقعة، وطرق التغلب على تلك المعوقات. This study aims to provide a roadmap for education colleges to actively fulfill their social responsibility in advancing public education in Egypt. By clarifying the contemporary trends in defining social and ethical responsibility and examining the relationship between these responsibilities and education colleges, the study seeks to identify the key variables, both local and global, that call for the development of education in Egypt. Through a descriptive approach, the study utilizes a questionnaire distributed to 300 faculty members from Egyptian universities. The findings of the study, encompassing theoretical and empirical dimensions, lay the foundation for a proposed vision that includes various aspects such as philosophy, objectives, importance, starting points, areas of focus, and mechanisms. The vision serves as a guide for education colleges to actively participate in education development in Egypt based on their social responsibility. Furthermore, the study outlines the implementation requirements necessary to realize this vision, along with potential obstacles that may arise and strategies to overcome them. By integrating social responsibility into the curriculum, fostering partnerships with stakeholders, enhancing faculty development programs, and establishing effective monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, education colleges can effectively contribute to the advancement of education in Egypt. Despite challenges such as financial constraints and resistance to change, strategies such as advocacy campaigns, resource mobilization, policy advocacy, and capacity building can be employed to overcome these obstacles. In conclusion, this study provides a comprehensive proposed vision for education colleges to fulfill their social responsibility towards the development of public education in Egypt. By implementing the suggested strategies and meeting the outlined requirements, education colleges can play a pivotal role in improving the quality and accessibility of education in Egypt, thereby making a significant impact on society. This research serves as a catalyst for further exploration and implementation of social responsibility initiatives in the field of education. (Published abstract)
