هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف إلى درجة الطموح وعلاقته بالتحصيل الدراسي لدى الأطفال الأيتام ونظرائهم في مدارس محافظات فلسطين الجنوبية، واستخدم الباحثون المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (142) طفلاً وطفلة من الطلبة الأيتام وغير الأيتام، واستخدم الباحثون مقياس الشرافي (2013) للطموح بعد تعديله ليناسب الدراسة. ومن أهم نتائج الدراسة: 1) أن الدرجة الكلية لمستوى الطموح لدى الأطفال الأيتام هي (69.08%) ولنظرائهم (81.71%)، 2) أن الدرجة الكلية لمستوى التحصيل الدراسي للطلبة غير الأيتام هي (63.944%) وللطلبة الأيتام هي (49.86%)، 3) عدم وجود علاقة ارتباطية بين مستوى الطموح والتحصيل لدى الأطفال الأيتام ووجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة بين مستوى الطموح والتحصيل لدى الأطفال غير الأيتام في مدارس محافظات فلسطين الجنوبية. ومن أهم التوصيات: 1) الاهتمام بطرق تنمية ورفع مستوى الطموح عند الطلبة، من خلال زيادة الوعي عند المعلمين والعاملين في المعاهد المخصصة للأيتام والمدارس التي يرتادونها، 2) ويوصي الباحثون المسئولين في وزارة التربية والتعليم، وواضعي المناهج، بضرورة وضع مناهج تناسب عقلية الطلبة، وتناسب المرحلة العمرية التي يمرون فيها مما يجعلهم أكثر قدرة على زيادة تحصيلهم الدراسي، والاهتمام باستراتيجيات التعليم بحيث تراعي حاجات الطلبة الأيتام وتزيد من دافعيتهم. The study aimed to identify the degree of ambition and its relationship to educational attainment of orphaned children and their counterparts in schools in the southern governorates of Palestine. The most important recommendations are: 1) To focus on ways to develop and raise the level of ambition among students, by raising awareness among teachers and workers in institutes designated for orphans and the schools they attend. 2) The researchers recommend to officials in the Ministry of Education, and the authors of the curricula, 3) The need to develop curricula that suit the students ’mindset, and suit the age at which they pass, making them more able to increase their academic achievement and pay attention to education strategies so that Conscious students the needs of orphans and increase their motivation.
