كثر الحديث في الآونة الأخيرة حول تطبيق نظام الثلاث فصول دراسية في مؤسسات التعليم في المملكة العربية السعودية على المستويين العام والجامعي، وتسائل الكثير من الطلبة مع قرب تطبيق نظام ثلاثة فصول الدراسية حول آلية تطبيق النظام عليهم وكيف سيتم نقل الخطة من النظام القديم إلى النظام الجديد، الأمر الذي أدى إلى تزايد القلق عند الطلبة. وفي خمسينيات القرن الماضي وجد العالمان فرويد ومور أن للقلق عدة وجوه ومنها هذا القلق المتعلق بالتعليم لأن التعليم يعتبر أساس من أسس حياة الإنسان في الوقت المعاصر ولاعتماد مستقبل الطلبة عليه، وقد كشفت بعض الدراسات في الفترة الأخيرة عن تدني مستوى التحصيل الأكاديمي للطلبة الناتج عن الضغط النفسي، وتعتبر مرحلة الدراسة الجامعية أحد أهم محطات التعليم لأنها تقوم على نخبة شباب وفتيات المجتمع وبهم تقوم حضارة الدولة. فلذلك يجب الاهتمام بالبيئة المحيطة بهم وتحفيزهم لإظهار ما لديهم من إمكانيات (زكريا. محمد. 2003) وقال (العنزي. 1245) "أن التعرض المستمر للضغوط ولاسيما في مستواها الشديد يمكن أن يؤدي إلى ارتباك في الحياة والعجز عن اتخاذ القرار ونقص التفاعل مع الآخرين وتفشي أعراض الأمراض الجسدية وغير ذلك في نواحي الاختلال الوظيفي". ويعتبر التحصيل الأكاديمي منعطفا هاما في حياة الطلبة وعلى ما يمكن أن يتحصل عليه في سوق العمل (جاد الله. 1998) حيث أن للجامعات وشهادتها قوة وتأثير فخريج الجامعات العريقة مثل جامعة هارفرد في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وجامعة أكسفورد في المملكة المتحدة وجامعة كولومبيا في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وجامعة الملك عبد العزيز في المملكة العربية السعودية وغيرها من الجامعات العريقة والمرموقة لا يقارن بخريج الجامعات الأخرى. ومن الجدير بالذكر أن جامعة الملك عبد العزيز تعد الجامعة الأقوى في الشرق الأوسط بحسب تصنيف (QS) لعام 2023 (العدواني. 2022) وقد تم تطبيق قرار الثلاث فصول دراسية في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة الشقيقة منذ عام 2010 (السباعي. وجيه. 2010) وقد لامس الباحث مخاوف وقلق الطلبة من آثار هذه المنهجية عليهم وعلى تحصيلهم الأكاديمي وأيضا على حياتهم الشخصية والاجتماعية ومن هنا خطرت للباحث فكرة القيام بهذا البحث والقيام بدراسة مسحية حول الأثر المتوقع لتطبيق منهجية الفصول الدراسية الثلاثة على طلبة جامعة الملك عبد العزيز بجدة في عام 1444. There has been a lot of talk recently about the implementation of the three-semester system in educational institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the public and university levels. With the imminent implementation of the three-semester system, many students have wondered about the mechanism of applying the system to them and how the plan will be transferred from the old system to the new system. Which led to increased anxiety among students. In the 1950s, the two scientists Freud and Moore found that anxiety has several faces, including this anxiety related to education, because education is considered one of the foundations of human life in the contemporary time and the future of students depends on it. Some studies in the recent period have revealed the low level of academic achievement of students resulting from psychological pressure. The university stage is considered one of the most important stages of education because it is based on the elite of society’s young men and women, and through them the state’s civilization is established. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the environment surrounding them and motivate them to show their potential (Zakaria. Muhammad. 2003). (Al-Anazi. 1245) said, “Continuous exposure to pressure, especially at its severe level, can lead to confusion in life, inability to make decisions, and lack of interaction with others.” The spread of symptoms of physical illness and other aspects of dysfunction.” Academic achievement is considered an important turning point in students’ lives and what they can obtain in the labor market (Jadallah. 1998), as universities and their degrees have power and influence. Graduates of prestigious universities such as Harvard University in the United States of America, Oxford University in the United Kingdom, and Columbia University in the United States the American University and King Abdulaziz University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other ancient and prestigious universities are incomparable to graduates from other universities. It is worth noting that King Abdulaziz University is considered the strongest university in the Middle East according to the (QS) classification for the year 2023 (Al-Adwani.2022) and the three-semester decision has been implemented. In the sister country of the United Arab Emirates since 2010 (Al-Sibai. Wajih, 2010), the researcher touched on the fears and anxiety of students regarding the effects of this methodology on them and on their academic achievement, as well as on their personal and social lives. Hence, the idea occurred to the researcher to conduct this research and conduct a survey study on the expected impact.
