هدف البحث إلى التعريف بالمناهج الكمية والمناهج الكيفية في العلوم الاجتماعية، ومعرفة الفوارق فيما بينها. حيث تمت المقارنة بين دور الباحث في كلا المنهجين (الكمي والكيفي)، وتوضيح التحليل الكمي والتحليل الكيفي في دراسة الظواهر الاجتماعية، وكذلك الدعوة إلى تحقيق التكامل البحثي بين المنهجين في الدراسات الاجتماعية، واعتمدنا على المنهج التحليلي السوسيولوجي باعتباره منهجاً للتحليل في حقل البحوث الاجتماعية. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أهمية معرفة خصائص المناهج الكمية والمناهج الكيفية مع وجود فروق واختلاف بينهما، واختلاف دور الباحث في كل من المنهجين (الكمي والكيفي)، كما بينت الدراسة أهمية استخدام التحليل الكيفي إلى جانب التحليل الكمي وضرورة تحقيق أسلوب التكامل البحثي بين المنهج الكمي والمنهج الكيفي. كما أكد البحث على مجموعة من التوصيات أهمها: الدعوة إلى استخدام التكامل البحثي والجمع بين التحليلين الكمي والكيفي، والتأكيد على دور الباحث مجتمعة متكاملة في كلا المنهجين. The aim of the research is to introduce quantitative and qualitative methods in the social sciences, and to know the differences between them. Where a comparison was made between the researcher's role in both approaches (quantitative and qualitative), and the clarification of quantitative and qualitative analysis in the study of social phenomena, as well as the call for research integration between the two approaches in social studies, and we adopted the sociological analytical approach as an approach to analysis in the field of social research. The study pointed to the importance of knowing the characteristics of quantitative and qualitative approaches and the existence of differences and differences between them, and the difference in the role of the researcher in each of the two approaches (quantitative and qualitative). The study also showed the importance of using qualitative analysis in addition to quantitative analysis and the need to achieve a method of research integration between the quantitative approach and the qualitative approach. The research also emphasized a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: the call for the use of research complementarity and the combination of quantitative and qualitative analyzes, and an emphasis on the role of the researcher collectively integrated in both approaches.
