هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد مستوى الوعي الذاتي لتلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية المتأخرين دراسيا، وكذلك الكشف عن دلالة العلاقة الارتباطية بين الوعي الذاتي والمسئولية الاجتماعية لديهم. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (40) تلميذاً. وكانت أدوات الدراسة هي مقياس الوعي الذاتي، ومقياس المسئولية الاجتماعية. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى انخفاض مستوى الوعي الذاتي لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية المتأخرين دراسيا، مع وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة بين بعض ابعاد الوعي الذاتي (تقييم الذات، الوعي الوجداني، الدرجة الكلية) من ناحية والدرجة الكلية للمسئولية الاجتماعية من ناحية آخرى لتلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية المتأخرين دراسيا. The study aims to determine the level of self-awareness in under- achievement students in preparatory stage, as well as to reveal the significance of the link between self-awareness and their social responsibility. The study sample consisted of (40) students. The study tools included a measure of self-awareness for preparatory stage students, a measure of social responsibility. The study found a low level of self-awareness in underachievement students in preparatory stage, and the existence of a positive correlation between some dimensions of self-awareness (self-evaluation, emotional awareness, total score) on the one hand, and total score in social responsibility on the other hand in under- achievement students in preparatory stage.
