الغرض من البحث وصف العلاقة بين العجز المتعلم والتسويف الأكاديمي لدى طالبات السنة الأولى المشتركة بجامعة الملك سعود، والتعرف على مستويات العجز المتعلم والتسويف الأكاديمي لديهن، والتحقق من إمكانية التنبؤ بالتسويف الأكاديمي من خلال العجز المتعلم. تكونت العينة من (343) طالبة من طالبات السنة الأولى المشتركة من المسارات (الصحية، والعلمية، والإنسانية)، اخترن بالطريقة العشوائية الطبقية. وطبق عليهن مقياس العجز المتعلم من إعداد بيترسون وآخرون، المستخدم في دراسة بن صديق (2009). ومقياس التسويف الأكاديمي من إعداد توكمان المستخدم في دراسة المطيري (2016). وكشفت النتائج عن وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين العجز المتعلم والتسويف الأكاديمي، وعن وجود مستويات منخفضة من العجز المتعلم والتسويف الأكاديمي لدى طالبات السنة الأولى المشتركة في المسارات: (الصحية، والعلمية، والإنسانية). وأظهرت النتائج أيضا أنه يمكن التنبؤ بالتسويف الأكاديمي من خلال العجز المتعلم لدى طالبات السنة الأولى المشتركة بجامعة الملك سعود. The aim of this research is to investigate the correlation between learned helplessness and academic procrastination among female students of the common first year at King Saud University, identifying the levels of learned helplessness and academic procrastination, and predicting at procrastination through learned helplessness. The sample consisted of (343) from the common first-year female students participating from the faculties of health, science, and humanity. The sample was selected by a stratified random method. learned helplessness measuring tool presented by Peterson et al. was used in Bin Seddik study (2009) and the academic procrastination scale by Tuckman which was used in the study of Al-Mutairi (2016) were both applied in this research. The results showed a positive correlation between learned helplessness and academic procrastination. also revealed that the existence of low levels of learned helplessness and academic procrastination among the female students of the common first year from the colleges of health, science, and humanity. The research also found that academic procrastination can be predicted through learned helplessness of the common first-year female students at King Saud University. (Published abstract)
