هدف البحث إلى الكشف عن نوع وجهة الضبط السائدة لدى طلبة جامعة الباحة، وتحديد مستوى التوافق النفسي لديهم والكشف عن الفروق في متغيرات الدراسة وفق متغيري الجنس والتخصص. استخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي المقارن، وطبق مقياس Rotter لوجهة الضبط (مترجم)، وثم بناء مقياس للتوافق النفسي لطلبة الجامعة وطبقا على عينة طبقية عشوائية بلغت (382) طالبا وطالبة من جامعة الباحة. وكان من أبرز نتائج البحث: أن وجهة الضبط السائدة لدى عينة البحث هي وجهة الضبط الخارجي. وظهرت فروق في وجهة الضبط الداخلي تعزى لمتغير الجنس لصالح الذكور أما وجهة الضبط الخارجي فلم توجد فروق ترجع للجنس، كذلك لم يكن هناك فروق ترجع لنوع التخصص، وأظهرت النتائج أن مستوى التوافق النفسي لدى عينة البحث كان مرتفعا، وتوجد فروق دالة في مستوى التوافق النفسي تعزى لمتغير الجنس لصالح الإناث، كما لم توجد فروق في التوافق النفسي بين عينة الدراسة ترجع لنوع التخصص. The research aimed to detect locus of control type prevalent and the level of psychological Adjustment among Al-Baha University students, also, to detect the differences in study variables according to sex and specialization. The researchers used the comparative descriptive approach. The sample was selected stratified randomly of (382) students. The research findings are: the locus of control prevalent is the external control, and there are differences in the internal locus of control attributed to the sex variable in favor of males. There are no differences in the external locus of control due to the sex. There are no differences in the locus of control due to specialization. The level of psychological Adjustment is high, there are significant differences in the level of psychological Adjustment attributed to sex variable in favor of females. There are no differences in the psychological adjustment due to specialization. (Published abstract)
