Making education pertinent to K-12 students in the 21st Century is a complex and important pursuit. For the past generation, while much of the educational system has not changed, teachers have been adapting to a new era by integrating new instructional methods and technologies into their classrooms. Efforts to make education relevant to 21st Century learners may be enhanced if a group of educational stakeholders, particularly educational technologists, could come to a consensus on issues concerning 21st Century skills, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills, teacher training, and school reform. This work sought to gain such a consensus through the results of a year-long Delphi study that involved six educational technologists. This paper reports on the Delphi study participants, methods, and results. Also, the researchers discuss each consensus reached by the panel of educational technologists relative to extant literature in order to highlight unique insights; to clarify ambiguities; and to reinforce effective practices.
