The primary purpose of this study is to validate the Thinking Style Inventory (TSI) for use in Jordan. Another purpose of the study is to determine the thinking style preferences of university vocational students and how it varies by gender and class standing. A purposive sample of 280 vocational students is chosen from one public university in Jordan. Results of the study support a seven-factor instrument (legislative, external, executive, global, judicial, local, and monarchic) with 40 items. Results also reveal that vocational students at the university level have a preference for legislative, local, and judicial thinking styles. Further, variations in thinking styles are not influenced by gender or educational level. At the end, the study offers a number of practical and theoretical recommendations for the field of study.
