لقد تلازم جانب الخيال مع التعبير الفني عامة والتشكيلي خاصة منذ فجر التاريخ حيث يستحيل على الفنان أن يضاهي الطبيعة مضاهاة كاملة، وأن سبيله الوحيد للتعبير عن افكاره هو إعمال خياله كمدخل لترجمة افكاره وأحاسيسه إلى اللغة الشكلية، ويقول بودلير أن الخيال في مجال الفنون هو سيد الملكات" .. وفي تدريس مادة النحت ربما يتم عرض بعض الصور لأعمال نحتية بها تعبير خيإلى كوسيلة للإثارة، ولكن هل هناك وسيلة أكثر جذبا للانتباه وتكون أكثر فاعلية وثراء ومخاطبة لعدة حواس للطالب حتى يتم تفعيل قدرته على التخيل وإثراء مخزونه البصري الذي سيكون معطيات تكون منطلقا لتعبير النحتي بعد ذلك، وربما كان ذلك متوافرا في الفن السابع الخيإلى بأنواعه (افلام الفنتازيا - الخيال العلمي - الرعب) بما يحويه من أشكال وحركة وموسيقى وقصة .. الخ . وبذلك تتخلص مشكلة البحث في التساؤل التإلى :هل يمكن الافادة من السينما الخيالية في تنمية التعبير الخيإلى النحتي لدى طلاب التربية الفنية؟ ويفترض الباحث أن: هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الاختبارين القبلي والبعدي لطلاب التربية الفنية في التعبير الخيإلى النحتي لصالح الاختبار البعدي من خلال الاعتماد على الفن السابع الخيإلى كمدخل للتدريس. وقد قام الباحث بتطبيق التجربة على طلاب الفرقة الرابعة شعبة التربية الفنية بكلية التربية النوعية جامعة الفيوم وذلك بعمل اختبارين قبلي وبعدي يتخللها عرض لأفلام سينمائية خيالية. زمن التجربة: ستة مقابلات كل منها ستة ساعات، المقابلة الاولى والاخيرة للاختبارين القبلي والبعدي .وقد صمم الباحث لتحكيم استمارة الاعمال لبيان مدى تواجد التعبير الخيإلى في كلا الاعمال النحتية للاختبارين، والتحكيم من متخصصين .وبعد إجراء المعالجات الاحصائية وجد أن هناك فروقا دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات الاختبارين القبلي والبعدي، مما يثبت تحقيق فرض البحث.
