استهدف البحث التعرف على فاعلية استخدام الآثار التاريخية في تدريس التاريخ لتنمية بعض مهارات التفكير البصري لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية. تكونت عينة البحث من (65) تلميذا بالصف الأول الإعدادي قسمت إلى مجموعتين، أحداهما مجموعة ضابطة عددها (33) تلميذا قاموا بدراسة موضوعات الوحدة الرابعة "تاريخ مصر عبر العصور القديمة" بالطريقة المتبعة في المدارس، والأخرى مجموعة تجريبية عددها (32) تلميذا قاموا بدراسة نفس الوحدة باستخدام الآثار التاريخية، وتمثلت أداة البحث في اختبار مهارات التفكير البصرى، حيث طبقت أداة البحث قبليا على مجموعتي البحث، ثم درس كل منهما الوحدة، ثم تم تطبيق أداة البحث بعديا على مجموعتي البحث. توصلت النتائج إلى وجود فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (α ≤ 0.05) بين متوسطي درجات تلاميذ المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار التفكير البصرى ككل، وفي كل مهارة على حدة، لصالح تلاميذ المجموعة التجريبية، ووجود فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (α ≤ 0.05) بين متوسطي درجات تلاميذ المجموعة التجريبية في التطبيقين القبلي والبعدي لاختبار التفكير البصرى ككل، وفي كل مهارة على حدة، لصالح درجات التطبيق البعدي، وبالتالي فاعلية استخدام الآثار التاريخية في تدريس التاريخ في تنمية بعض مهارات التفكير البصرى لدى تلاميذ الصف الأول الإعدادي. أوصى البحث بضرورة استخدام الآثار التاريخية في تدريس التاريخ في جميع المراحل الدراسية، وضرورة تدريب المعلمين على إجراءات استخدامها داخل الفصول الدراسية لما تحققه من أهداف تربوية منشودة. The current research aimed to identify the effectiveness of using the historical monuments in teaching history to developing the preparatory stage pupils' some visual thinking skills. The research sample consists of (65) pupils of the first-grade preparatory stage that was divided into two groups: the control group that consists of (33) pupils who studied the topic fourth unit "History of Egypt across the old ages", by traditional method used in schools, and the other is an experimental group consisted of (32) pupils who studied the same unit using Historical monuments, and the tool of the were: visual thinking skills test, where the research tool was pre-applied to the research groups, then each of them studied the unit, then the research tool was post-applied to the two research groups, The research has the following results: There is a statistically significant difference at the level (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of pupils in the experimental and control groups in the post application of the visual thinking test as a whole and for each of its skills in favor of the experimental group pupils. There is a statistically significant difference at the level (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group pupils in the pre and post application of the visual thinking test as a whole and in each of its skills in favor of the post application. The results confirmed the effectiveness of using the historical monuments in teaching history to developing some visual thinking skills, among first-grade preparatory stage. The study recommended the necessity of using the historical monuments in teaching history at all levels of education, and the necessity of the training teachers on the procedures for using them in the classroom because it achieves the desired educational goals.
