The aim of this study was to examine the effect an English value-based program to enhance reading comprehension of the sixth primary grade pupil in Egypt. In order to achieve this purpose (40) of the sixth primary grade pupil were selected to participate in the experiment. The experimental lasted for 3 months during the first term of the 2019-2020 academic year. To collect data, the researcher used a comprehension pre posttest. The result revealed that: Teaching by using the proposed program had a large effect size on sixth primary grade pupil reading comprehension. The results also proved that the proposed program had a large effect on the experimental group students’ literal skill and its sub-skills - except for the first skill, which had a medium effect size.
