هدف البحث إلى تحديد مدى جاهزية جامعة بنها - كدراسة حالة لجامعة مصرية - في التحول نحو جامعة خضراء مستدامة على ضوء مرتكزاتها الوظيفية؛ وذلك من خلال استبانة موجهة لأعضاء هيئة التدريس بها لإبداء آرائهم حول ذلك وصولا إلى الواقع الحقيقي لجاهزية الجامعة وديناميات تحولها نحو جامعة خضراء مستدامة بناء على مستويات تحقق مرتكزاتها الوظيفية، والانطلاق من خلال ذلك إلى بحث سبل تعزيز هذه الديناميات. تم التوصل إلى عدة نتائج أشارت في مجملها إلى أن معظم المرتكزات سواء التأهيلية منها أو التحويلية جاءت بمستويات تحقق متوسطة عدا مرتكز "البناء المعرفي والثقافة الخضراء" فقد جاء بمستويات تحقق ضعيفة طبقا لآراء أفراد العينة، لينتهي البحث بوضع تصور مقترح لتعزيز ديناميات التحول بجامعة بنها والجامعات المصرية نحو جامعات خضراء مستدامة على ضوء مرتكزاتها الوظيفية. Egyptian universities, including Benha University, are experiencing a hot movement to determine their role and position in the field of supporting societal sustainability by adopting sustainable green university model. However, as the global rankings in this field indicate, it is still groping its first steps. So, it must strive to develop a conceptual and practical framework to chart the paths of transformation and enhance its dynamics in a way that allows its integration into development process through full access to the sustainable green university model. In the light of the evidences which confirms that Benha University- like other Egyptian universities- has taken the initiative of adopting the pillars of university sustainability and applying them in all aspects of the university system and through its functional pillars, the current research aims to determine the readiness of Benha University - as a case study of an Egyptian university - in the transition towards a sustainable green university in the light of its functional pillars. This is achieved through a questionnaire which is addressed to its faculty members to express their opinions about that to reach the real reality of the university's readiness and the dynamics of its transformation towards a sustainable green university basing on levels that achieve its functional pillars. And start from that to explore ways to reinforce these dynamics. The current research reaches several results, which in total indicate that most of the pillars, whether qualifying or transformative, came with medium verification levels except for the pillar of "knowledge building and green culture", it comes with weak verification levels according to the sample’s opinions. The research ends with a proposed perspective to enhance the dynamics of transformation at Benha University and Egyptian universities towards sustainable green universities in the light of their functional pillars.
