استهدف البحث وضع إطار استراتيجي مستقبلي لتطوير برنامج إعداد معلم الجغرافيا بكلية التربية جامعة الإسكندرية؛ ولتحقيق هذا الهدف، تم استخدام المنهج الكيفي لفهم وتفسير مشكلة البحث، كما تم استخدام أسلوب التحليل الرباعي “SWOT" لرصد واقع البرنامج لتحديد جوانب القوة والضعف التى تتميز بها البيئة الداخلية، والفرص والتهديدات السائدة بالبيئة الخارجية للبرنامج؛ انطلاقاً لصياغة الخطة الاستراتيجية. وبدأت إجراءات البحث فى التوصل إلى إطار نظري عن الوضع الحالي لبرنامج إعداد معلم الجغرافيا، والوضع العالمي لبعض التجارب الرائدة فى مجال تطوير برامجها، والتخطيط الاستراتيجي ثم إعداد أدوات البحث، والتي تمثلت في استبانة رؤى أعضاء هيئة التدريس حول البيئة الداخلية لبرنامج إعداد معلم الجغرافيا، واستمارة مقابلة طلاب الفرقة الرابعة شعبة الجغرافيا حول البيئة الداخلية لبرنامج إعدادهم، واستمارة مقابلة موجهي الجغرافيا حول برنامج إعداد معلم الجغرافيا، واستبانة استطلاع أراء خريجى برنامج إعداد معلم الجغرافيا حول فاعلية البرنامج فى ميدان العمل، واستمارة مقابلة المجموعة المحورية Focus Group < /strong> حول البيئة الخارجية لبرنامج معلم الجغرافيا؛ ومن ثم تحديد الخطة الاستراتيجية لتطوير برنامج إعداد معلم الجغرافيا بكلية التربية جامعة الإسكندرية. ثم تم التوصل إلى مجموعة من التوصيات، والبحوث المقترحة. The research aimed to develop a future strategic framework for developing of the Geography Teacher Preparation Program at the Faculty of Education, Alexandria University. To achieve this goal, a qualitative approach was used to understand and explain the research problem and SWOT analysis method was also used to monitor the reality of the program to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the internal environment,opportunities and threats prevailing in the external environment of the program, starting with the formulation of the strategic plan, Research procedures have begun to reach a theoretical framework on the current state of the geography teacher preparation program, And the global situation of some pilot experiences in the development of its programs and Strategic planning Then preparation of research tools, Which consisted in identifying the views of the faculty members about the internal environment of geography teacher preparation program, and the interview form students of the fourth division geography department about the internal environment of their preparation program, And an interview form geography directors on the geography teacher preparation program, and a questionnaire survey of the graduates of the geography teacher preparation program on the effectiveness of the program in the field of work, And the Focus Group interview form About the external environment of the geography teacher program; then determine the strategic plan to develop the geography teacher preparation program at the Faculty of Education, Alexandria University. Then it reached a set of recommendations, proposed research. (Published abstract)
