هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع تطبيق الحوكمة في جامعة الملك فيصل، والكشف عن المعوقات التي تحد من تطبيقها، وتقديم مقترحات تسهم في تفعيل تطبيقها. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (95) قائدا من القيادات الأكاديمية والإدارية بجامعة الملك فيصل، وقد تم تطبيق المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وكانت الاستبانة هي أداة جمع البيانات. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج منها: أن واقع تطبيق الحوكمة في جامعة الملك فيصل جاء بدرجة متوسطة، بمتوسط حسابي عام (2.22)، وقد جاء ترتيب المجالات كالتالي: مجال الشفافية، ويليه مجال المساءلة، واخيرا مجال المشاركة، وبينت النتائج موافقة أفراد الدراسة بدرجة متوسطة على المعوقات التي تحد من تطبيق الحوكمة، بمتوسط حسابي عام (1.84)، حيث جاءت أعلى عبارة في هذا المحور: "غموض مفهوم الحوكمة لدى العاملين في الجامعة". وأظهرت النتائج موافقة أفراد الدراسة بدرجة عالية على المقترحات التي تسهم في تفعيل تطبيق الحوكمة، بمتوسط حسابي عام (2.63)، حيث جاءت أعلى عبارة في هذا المحور: "تفعيل مشاركة العاملين في عملية صنع القرار". وعلى ضوء تلك النتائج، قدمت الدراسة عددا من التوصيات، منها: انشاء وحده للحوكمة داخل الجامعة، تتولى متابعة وتقييم مدى تطبيق الحوكمة، تطوير الآليات والإجراءات الإدارية في الجامعة بما يكفل تحسين تطبيق الحوكمة. The objective of this research is to identify the reality of the governance application at King Faisal University, and to identify the obstacles that limit its application, as well as offering some suggestions that contribute to the activation of governance application. The research sample consisted of (95) leaders of academic and administrative leaders at King Faisal University. The surveying descriptive method was applied, and the questionnaire was the tool used for collecting the data. The research reached several results, including: The reality of the governance application at King Faisal University came at a medium level, with a arithmetic mean rated (2.22), and the order of fields came as follows: Transparency, followed by accountability, and finally the field of participation. The approval of the research sample to a medium degree on the obstacles that limit the governance application, with a arithmetic mean of (1.84) where the top phrase in this axis was: "The ambiguity of the governance concept among university employees". The approval of the research sample to a high degree on the suggestions that contribute to the implementation of the governance application, with a arithmetic mean (2.63) Where the top phrase in this axis was "Activating the participation of workers in the decision-making process." In the light of these results, the study made a number of recommendations, including: Establishing a unit of governance within the university which will monitor and evaluate the extent to which governance is applied, developing administrative mechanisms and procedures at the university to ensure better implementation of governance.
