استهدف البحث تنمية مهارات الفهم القرائي الأكثر مناسبة لدارسي العربية الناطقين بلغات أخرى في المستوى المتوسط، وذلك باستخدام نظرية نحو النص، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تم إعداد قائمة بمهارات الفهم القرائي، كما تم إعداد اختبار في مهارات الفهم القرائي، وقد تم تطبيق الاختبار قبليا على مجموعة البحث والتي تكونت من (12) دارسا ودارسة من دارسي العربية الناطقين بلغات أخرى في المستوى المتوسط، وتم التدريس لهذه المجموعة باستخدام نظرية نحو النص، ثم تطبيق الاختبار بعديا على هذه المجموعة، وقد توصل البحث إلى فاعلية استخدام نظرية نحو النص في تنمية مهارات الفهم القرائي لدى دارسي العربية الناطقين بلغات أخرى في المستوى المتوسط. The aim of the present research is to develop the most suitable reading comprehension skills among intermediate-level non-Arabic speakers, through the use of Text-based theory. To achieve this goal, a list of reading comprehension skills was prepared, and a test was prepared in reading comprehension skills. The present research followed the one group pre/post- test design. In this design, the dependent variables are measured before and after the experiment. The reading comprehension test was administered to the sample (N=12) prior the application of the theory as a pretest. After teaching the study sample using Text-based theory, the reading comprehension test was post administered. Findings of the study revealed that the reading comprehension skills were developed among intermediate-level non- Arabic speakers as a result of teaching using Text-based theory. (Published abstract)
