هدف البحث إلى تطوير وحدة المحددات والمصفوفات في مقرر الرياضيات العامة للمستوى الأول بالكليات التقنية التابعة للمؤسسة العامة للتدريب التقني والمهني؛ وذلك في سياق الحياة اليومية والتخصصات المهنية للمتدربات، ومن ثم قياس فاعلية الوحدة المطورة في التحصيل الرياضي وتنمية الرغبة المنتجة لدى المتدربات. استخدمت الباحثة المنهج التجريبي ذو التصميم شبه التجريبي، واختبار التحصيل الرياضي ومقياس الرغبة المنتجة كأدوات تم تطبيقها على عينة عنقودية من متدربات الكلية التقنية للبنات بالرياض، والبالغ عددهم (68) متدربة تم تقسيمهن إلى مجموعتين متساويتين: ضابطة وتجريبية. كشفت نتائج البحث عن وجود فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطي درجات مجموعتي البحث في اختبار التحصيل الرياضي بجميع مستوياته (المعرفة، التطبيق، الاستدلال) لصالح العينة التجريبية، يعزى إلى تدريس الوحدة المقترحة بعد تطويرها في سياق التخصصات المهنية للمتدربات، كما كشفت عن أثر إيجابي مرتفع للاختبار التحصيلي بجميع مستوياته، تبعا لمقياس كوهين d. إضافة إلى ذلك، كشفت النتائج عن فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطي درجات مجموعتي البحث لصالح المجموعة التجريبية وذلك على مقياس الرغبة المنتجة للمكونات (فائدة وقيمة وأهمية الرياضيات، المثابرة والاجتهاد، المقياس ككل) بحجم أثر (مرتفع، متوسط، متوسط) لهذه المكونات على التوالي تبعا لمقياس كوهين d، يعزى إلى تدريس الوحدة المطورة في سياق التخصصات المهنية للمتدربات. من جهة أخرى أشارت نتائج التحليل إلى عدم وجود فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية على مقياس الرغبة المنتجة عند مكون (الفاعلية الذاتية). أما توصيات البحث فقد اشتملت على إبراز تطبيقات الرياضيات في سياق التخصصات المهنية وتضمينها في مقررات الرياضيات، وكذلك التركيز على الممارسات العملية وتوفير البيئة التعليمية ووسائل التعلُّم المناسبة لتطبيق تعلم الرياضيات في السياق. The aim of this research is to develop a unit (matrices and determinants) in the general mathematics course for the first level at the technical colleges of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC); in the context of the vocational disciplines of the trainees, and then measuring the effectiveness of the developed unit in the mathematical achievement and productive disposition of the trainees. The researcher used the experimental method with quasi-experimental design; mathematical achievement test and the productive disposition scale, as tools that were applied to a cluster sample of (68) female trainees from the Technical College for Girls in Riyadh. The population of (68) trainees were divided into two equal groups: a control group and experimental group. The results of the research revealed a statistically significant difference between the two score mean of research groups in the mathematical achievement test at all its levels (knowing, application, reasoning) in favor of the experimental group, due to the teaching of the proposed unit after developing in the context of the vocational disciplines of the trainees. It also revealed a high positive effect of the mathematical achievement test at all levels, according to the Cohen d scale. In addition, the results revealed a statistically significant difference between the two score mean of research groups on the scale of productive disposition for the components (the value and importance of mathematics, perseverance and diligence, the scale as a whole) with an positive effect size (high, medium, medium) for these components, respectively; according to Cohen's scale d, the result was in favor of the experimental group, which is also attributed to the teaching of the developed unit in the context of the vocational disciplines of the trainees. On the other hand, the results of the analysis indicated that there was no statistically significant difference on the scale of productive disposition in the component (self-efficacy). The recommendations of the research included highlighting the applications of mathematics in the context of the vocational disciplines and emerging them in mathematics courses, as well as focusing on practical practices and providing the educational environment and appropriate learning instruments to apply mathematics learning in the context.
