The study aimed to find the link between self-awareness and anxiety based on some demographic variables among high school students in the city of Yanbu. The researcher used the descriptive correlative approach to accomplish the purpose of the study. The study’s sample consisted of (508) students, 300 male and 208 female students. The researcher used the anxiety scale prepared by Jamal Al-Lail (2012), and the Self-Awareness scale prepared by Fahid (2017). The Pearson correlation factors was used to verify the validity of the internal consistency of the scales, as well as the Alpha Korumba factors, and the segmentation to verify the validity and stability of the scales, and to know the relationship between self-awareness and anxiety, and the t-test for independent samples to indicate the differences between two independent groups. The study used statistical methods to analyze and interpret the results. The results showed that there was a statistical significance indicating the existence of a reverse relationship between self-awareness and anxiety. Also, there is a high level of self-awareness indicates significant differences in the level of self-awareness between male and female students due to the gender variable in favor of males. Also, there was a low level of anxiety in the study group indicates statistically significant differences in the level of anxiety between male and female students due to the gender variable in favor of females. Furthermore, the results showed no significant differences in the level of self-awareness or the level of anxiety between male and female students due to age or educational level. Thus, the study recommended creating methodological programs to develop self-awareness for high school student, and it needs more research. Also, a training program for educational officers to develop self-awareness among students and giddiness to deal with anxiety. (Published abstract)
