هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تعرّف دور مديري المدارس الحكومية في زيادة دافعية معلمي الرياضيات نحو مهنة التدريس في مديرية التربية والتعليم في لواء بني كنانة بمحافظة اربد من وجهة نظر المعلّمين أنفسهم، في ضوء بعض المتغيرات (الجنس، المؤهل العلمي، والخبرة التعليمية). تكونت عينة الدراسة من (55) معلم ومعلمة رياضيات، واختيرت بأسلوب العينة العشوائية البسيطة. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، تم تطوير استبانة تكونت بصورتها النهائية من (20) فقرة، وفق تدريج ليكرت الخماسي. وتم استخدام البرمجية الاحصائية (SPSS) لتحليل البيانات. أظهرت النتائج أن المتوسطات الحسابية لدور مديري المدارس في زيادة دافعية معلمي الرياضيات نحو مهنة التدريس في لواء بني كنانة قد قدَرت بدرجة (متوسطة). وأظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α = 0.05) تعزى لمتغيري (المؤهل العلمي، والخبرة التعليمية) ولصالح (الدراسات العليا، والخبرة التعليمية الأكثر من 10 سنوات) على الترتيب. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة الإيعاز إلى مديري المدارس بضرورة زيادة دافعية معلّمي الرياضيات نحو مهنة التدريس من خلال عقد ندوات ومؤتمرات وورش عمل في المديرية. The current study aimed at identifying the role of governmental school principals in increasing math teachers’ motivation towards teaching profession at Bani Kenana education directorate in Irbid from the point of view of the teachers themselves, in light of some variables (Gender, Academic qualification & Educational experience). The sample of the study consisted of 55 male and female math teachers, which was chosen randomly. To achieve this, a questionnaire consisted of 20 items, according to Likert scale quintet was built in this study. For data analysis, the study used Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The findings revealed that the role of governmental school principals in increasing math teachers’ motivation towards teaching profession was intermediate. The results also revealed statistically significant differences (α= 0.05) due to their (Academic qualification & Educational experience); in favor of those holding (Postgraduate degrees and More than 10 years), respectively. Finally, the study recommends those school principals to increase the math teachers’ motivation towards teaching profession through the holding of seminars, conferences and workshops in the Directorate.
