هدف البحث الحالي إلى الكشف عن فعالية نموذج مكارثي في تنمية مهارات كتابة المعادلات الكيميائية لدى طالبات الصف الثاني الثانوي، ولتحقيق أهداف البحث استخدم المنهج التجريبي، وتكونت عينة البحث من (84) طالبة من طالبات الصف الثاني الثانوي، تم اختيارها بالطريقة العشوائية، ثم قسمت العينة إلى مجموعتين، إحداهما تجريبية، وعددها (42) طالبة من مدرسة 17 يوليو، والأخرى ضابطة وعددها (42) طالبة من مدرسة شهداء السبعين بأمانة العاصمة صنعاء. وقد قام الباحثون بإعداد دليل المعلم وكتاب دليل أنشطة الطالب وفقا لنموذج مكارثي، ثم إعداد اختبار مهارات كتابة المعادلات الكيميائية، وبعد التأكد من صدقه وثباته، أخضعت المجموعتين لاختبار مهارات كتابة المعادلات الكيميائية. وبعد جمع البيانات، تم معالجتها إحصائيا باستخدام برنامج حزم التحليل الإحصائي للعلوم الاجتماعية SPSS/PC. وقد توصل البحث إلى النتائج الاتية: وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (α≤0.05) بين متوسطات درجات طالبات المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار مهارات كتابة المعادلات الكيميائية لصالح المجموعة التجريبية في جميع مهارات كتابة المعادلات الكيميائية (مهارة التمييز بين أنواع المركبات العضوية، مهارة تسمية المركبات العضوية، مهارة كتابة الصيغ الكيميائية العضوية، مهارة التعبير عن التفاعل الكيميائي بمعادلة كيميائية متزنة). وفي ضوء النتائج التي تم التوصل إليها، وما أسهم به نموذج مكارثي في تنمية مهارات كتابة المعادلات الكيميائية لدى طالبات الصف الثاني الثانوي يوصي الباحثون بضرورة استخدام نموذج مكارثي في تدريس العلوم بشكل عام والكيمياء بشكل خاص، وكذلك الاهتمام بتنمية مهارات كتابة المعادلات الكيميائية. The current study aimed to investigating the effectiveness of McCarthy model on developing skills of writing chemical equations among 11th grade secondary school students. To achieve the study objectives, the researchers used the quasi-experimental research method. The study was conducted on a sample with (84) schoolgirls from the 11th grade secondary school students. The study sample was selected randomly from two schools (17 Yuolyou & Shuhada Alsabein) which belong to 70 district in Sana'a city. The sample was divided into two groups, one is experimental with (42) students at 17 Yuolyou School, and the other is the control group with (42) students at Shuhada Alsabein School. The researchers prepared a teacher's guide and a guidebook for student activities according to the McCarthy model, and then prepared the skills test for writing chemical equations. After verifying its validity and stability, the two groups (experimental and control) were subjected to the skills of writing chemical equations. The collected data were then statistically processed using SPSS / PC. The study found the following results: there were statistically significant differences at (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post application skills of writing chemical equations test in favor of the experimental group in all skills (the skill of distinguishing between types of organic compounds - the skill of naming the organic compounds -the skill of writing organic - chemical formulas - the skill of expressing chemical reaction with a balanced chemical equation). In light of the findings, and the McCarthy model's contribution to the development of chemical equation writing skills for 11th grade secondary school students, the researchers recommend that the McCarthy model should be used in science teaching in general and chemistry in particular, as well as the development of chemical equation writing skills.
