Education is considered one of the sensitive and fundamental philosophical topics because it is the basic element and the first nucleus in building societies and modeling individuals, through its cultural dimensions and roles represented in transmitting cultures, acquiring experiences, teaching values and ideals, and consolidating virtues. Philosophers and thinkers have given an interest in the past and present to the civilizational function of education; In search of its essence, its recognition of its importance, and an introduction to its foundations, including the Algerian thinker Abdullah Rit, the subject of this research paper. By adopting the induction method of the thinker’s writings and educational references, then analyzing the foundations and components of his educational practice, we concluded that he is considered a pioneer in educational thought in Algeria, through what he called for in his sociological approach of the need to pay attention to education, and the need to make it the most important part of the civilizational project, especially when it coincided with including with the period of occupation and beyond in Algeria in particular and the Arab world in general, where was the task of education difficult and effective in confronting ignorance, illiteracy and weakness in all its forms. The thinker summarized the elements of education in; Education, Islamic religion, Arabic language, and the call to Arabization, development, and culture. Education as a value and practice is involved in the settlement of many political, social, religious and even psychological problems, including an education that accepts and respects differences and rejects fragmentation and dispersion in all its forms. Education is the link between all the foundations of education and is the guarantor of high acceptance rates. (Published abstract)
