هدفت الدراسة الإجابة عن السؤال الرئيس "ما أبعاد المسؤولية المجتمعيّة للجامعات ومتطلبات تطبيقها في ضوء مفهوم الجودة الشاملة؟" وعن الأسئلة المنبثقة عنه. عرفت بالمسؤولية المجتمعيّة للجامعات بأبعادها الخمسة، وتوصّلت إلى متطلبات تطبيقها في ضوء مفهوم الجودة الشاملة، وخلصت إلى عدّة توصيات أهمّها البحث في درجة تحمّل قادة الجامعة (العمداء، ورؤساء الأقسام العلميّة) للمسؤوليّة المجتمعيّة من وجهة نظرهم ووجهة نظر قادة المجتمع المحلي. It may seem at first glance that social responsibility is a new concept coming from the west, but the meditator to the product of the Arab Islamic civilization finds many concepts, ideas and practices that add, deepen and enrich this concept, taking it beyond the responsibility of the business sector to include all members of the society within the concept of solidarity, charity and community outreach. Therefore, this study aimed to answer this major question” What are the dimensions of the social responsibility of universities and their indicators in the light of quality requirements?”, and its emanating questions. This study defined social responsibility in general, the dimensions of the social responsibility of universities in particular, and derived the social responsibility performance indicators in light of overall quality. The study also highly recommended surveying the university leaders (deans, heads of scientific Departments) degree of social responsibility from their point of view. (Published abstract)
