يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين إساءة استخدام الهاتف الذكي والهوية الثقافية لدى طلاب جامعة المنيا، وكذلك الكشف عن مستوى إساءة استخدام الهاتف الذكي لديهم، والتعرف على الفروق بين الذكور والإناث في إساءة استخدام الهاتف الذكي، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (158) طالب وطالبة من طلاب جامعة المنيا، وتم استخدام مقياس إساءة استخدام الهاتف الذكي، مقياس الهوية الثقافية (إعداد الباحثون)، وتوصلت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية سالبة غير دالة إحصائيا بين درجات الطلاب على مقياس إساءة استخدام الهاتف الذكي وأبعاده (الانفعالات السالبة، تشتت الانتباه ،الانشغال القهري، الانسحاب الاجتماعي) ودرجاتهم على مقياس الهوية الثقافية، وكذلك أن أعلى مستوى لأبعاد مقياس إساءة استخدام الهاتف الذكي لدى طلاب الجامعة، كان البعد الأول (الانفعالات السالبة) حيث بلغ (74.57%)، كما تبين أيضا عدم وجود فرق دال إحصائيا بين متوسطي درجات الذكور والإناث في أبعاد (الانفعالات السالبة، تشتت الانتباه، والانشغال القهري، والانسحاب الاجتماعي) والدرجة الكلية، بينما وجد فرق دال إحصائيا بين متوسطي درجات الذكور والإناث في بعد (الإجهاد البدني) في اتجاه الذكور. The research aims to identify the relationship between smartphone misuse and cultural identity among Minia university students. As well as revealing the level of smartphone misuse they have and identify the differences between males and females in smartphone misuse and the study sample consisted of (158) male students and female students from Minia university, and the smartphone misuse scale, the cultural identity scale (prepared by researchers), was used, there results showed that there was a negative, non-significant, correlation between students' scores on the smartphone misuse scale and its dimensions (negative emotions, distraction compulsive preoccupation, social withdrawal) and their scores on the cultural identity scale, and that the highest level of smartphone misuse scale dimensions for university students, the first dimension was (negative emotions), which amounted to (74,57%), and it was also found that there was no statistically significant difference between the mean scores of males and females in the dimensions (negative emotions, distraction, compulsive preoccupation, and social withdrawal) and the total score.
