هدف البحث إلى عرض أهمية التصنيفات العالمية للجامعات، وأبرز التصنيفات العالمية للجامعات ومعاييرها، وأوجه الانتقادات الموجهة إليها، وأخيرا وضعت مقترحات قد تسهم في تحسين ترتيب الجامعات المصرية بها، استخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي. تناول البحث أهمية التصنيفات العالمية للجامعات، وأبرز تلك التصنيفات وهي: تصنيف شنغهاي، والويبومتركس، والكيو أس، وتايمز؛ وذلك لانتشارها في الأوساط الأكاديمية العالمية. وعرض الانتقادات الموجهة لها في ثلاث جوانب: أوجه قصور عامة للتصنيفات، وأوجه قصور في بنية التصنيفات ومعاييرها، وأوجه قصور مرتبطة للجامعات التي يتم تصنيفها. أخيرًا وضعت مقترحات لتحسين ترتيب الجامعات المصرية بها. The aim of the research is to present the importance of world universities rankings‚ the most prominent world universities rankings and their standards, and the criticisms addressed to them, and finally put forward proposals that may contribute to improving the ranking of Egyptian universities, the research used the descriptive approach. The research has addressed the importance of World Universities rankings, the most prominent of which are: The Shanghai, Webometrics, and QS and Times rankings, for their spread in the global academic community. and presented its criticisms in three aspects: general rankings shortcomings, shortcomings in the structure and criteria of rankings, and shortcomings of the universities that that are classified. Finally, proposals have been put to improve the ranking of Egyptian universities. (Published abstract)
