هدفت الدراسة إلى تقنين مقياس الذكاء العاطفي لجولمان على مجموعة من طلبة الحلقة الثانية من التعليم الأساسي كمجموعة ممثلة للبيئة العمانية، وتشمل ترجمته ودراسة خصائصه السيكومترية، للتأكد من توافر صدق وثبات المقياس. اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. تكون مجتمع الدراسة من 31718 من الطلبة. وبلغ حجم العينة 379 طالباً وطالبة تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية العنقودية. تم ترجمة المقياس ثم التأكد من صدقه بعد عرضه على مجموعة من المحكمين من ذوي الاختصاص. بعدها أجرى الباحث دراسة استطلاعية للتأكد من ثبات المقياس، حيث أثبت الأداة صلاحيتها للبحث العلمي. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة تمتع مقياس الذكاء العاطفي بثبات عالي؛ حيث بلغت قيمة معامل ألفا كرونباخ للاتساق الداخلي 0.948. وأظهرت نتائج التحليل العاملي تحقق الخصائص السيكومترية للمقياس؛ حيثفقد تشبعت جميع الفقرات في جذورها الكامنة المحددة لها في التحليل العاملي الاستكشافي، وانضمت كل فقرة في عاملها حسب ما جاءت في الاستبانة الأصلية. وأظهر التحليل العاملي التوكيدي للنماذج المدروسة حذف بعض الفقرات من المقياس، ليستقر الحال بالمقياس المقنن بـ 41 فقرة من أصل 50، تشكل العمود الفقري للنسخة المقننة لمقياس الذكاء العاطفي لجولمان كنموذج للبيئة العمانية. وأوصت الدراسة بإجراء تقنين لمقاييس مشابهة تخدم المجتمع البحثي العماني. The study aims to standardize Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence (EI) questionnaire on a group of students in the second cycle of basic education as a group representing the Omani society, through translating it and studying its psychometric properties, and to ensure the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. The study adopted the descriptive-analytical method. The study population consisted of 31718 students. Using cluster random method, the sample size was 379 male and female students. The questionnaire has been translated and validated through submitting it to a group of experts. The researcher conducted a pilot study to ensure the application stability of the questionnaire. Results showed that the (EI) questionnaire has high reliability, as the value of the Alpha Cronbach coefficient of internal consistency is 0.948 Therefore the questionnaire is valid for use. The results of the factor analysis showed that the psychometric properties of the (EIQ) are secured. All the items are saturated in their Initial Eigen values identified in the exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and each item fits in its factor according to what came in the original questionnaire. The confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) of the studied models showed skipping some items from the questionnaire, keeping 41 items out of 50, to form the basis for the standardized questionnaire -Omani version of the (EI) questionnaire for Goleman as a model.
